"Instantly, I felt connected. I saw moms who were in the same stage of life, also needing assistance and affirmation Not only did I find answers, I felt wanted and needed. I made friends. True friends. My kids made friends. Others valued my opinion as a mom."
9th Annual Work / Life Conference a Great Success Our 9th Annual Work / Life Conference, held on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, was an unqualified success. - Parenting Through the Ages and Stages of Childhood (Personal Touch Early Intervention Program)
- It Ought to be a Law: Work / Life Balance Entitlements (Matt Halpern of Jackson Lewis)
- Resources for Working Parents & Their Employers (Personal Touch Early Intervention Program)
- Taking a Bite Out of Sandwich Generation Worries (elder care issues) (presented in partnership with the Long Island Women's Agenda and moderated by Arlene Haims)
- Reality Parenting 101: Teaching Our Children to do the Right Things for the Right
Reasons (Dr. Rita Stein, author of "Connecting Character to Conduct.")

Opening remarks were made by Dr. Pearl Kamer, Chief Economist, followed by a presentation on the Factors Affecting L.I.'s Economic Outlook, featuring Dana Friedman & Carrie Meek Gallagher, Director of L.I. Index. This was an opportunity to hear about recent research from the Rauch Foundation and the Child Care Councils of Nassau and Suffolk.
