"Instantly, I felt connected. I saw moms who were in the same stage of life, also needing assistance and affirmation Not only did I find answers, I felt wanted and needed. I made friends. True friends. My kids made friends. Others valued my opinion as a mom." |

Women traveled by plane from as far as Colorado and Georgia and by car, trains and bus from NY, NJ and PA to attend the Mothers' Center National Conference from Friday, Nov 15th through Sunday, Nov 17th. Participants attended various workshops on parenting, women's issues, sustaining a local Mothers' Center program and personal growth. In addition, a compelling keynote address was delivered by Pulitzer Prize nominated author, Ann Crittenden. Ms Crittenden's latest book, "The Price of Motherhood", has opened a much needed discussion on the economic hardships of motherhood and caregiving. The evening activities were designed for networking and just plain fun for these moms who don't often enjoy such an extended period with no cooking, no cleaning, no whining, and no sibling rivalry.
