Oct 31 2008: Every Child Matters Campaign Airs on Television Nov 1

The NAMC and many local Mothers' Centers participated in this effort to tell national, state and local candidates that they need to keep children's needs in mind in their political work after the election. Tens of thousands of "hands" were submitted by children, including Mothers' Center children, to visually represent them to the candidates. The pictures here show the "hands display".

A half-hour show, called Q&A, will be aired on November 1 at 6 AM on WLIW Channel 21 that will feature events in Albany and on Long Island.  If you can, watch this show and see how active and inspired we were here on Long Island. The show is very informative as well.

The Every Child Matters Campaign sponsored a series of activities over the past two months to bring children's issues to the attention of our presidential candidates.  At these events, advocates rallied at the county legislatures and participated in the Town Hall Meeting and press conference at the Long Island Children's Museum on October 14, 08.

Thank you to all who contributed to this effort in some way!
