- Why Attend?
This year our workshops focus on the following four areas: Legal, Leadership, Communications and Financials. Attendees can choose any two of the four areas as their workshops options.
Every journey is unique, as well known industry leaders will tell you in an interactive dialogue about the challenges faced and tools used to accomplish work/life success. During this discussion, you will learn how flexibility, dedication and persistence help these corporate leaders succeed in both their personal and professional lives. Be inspired by their strategies and challenges in their early years in the trenches while raising families and building a professional presence on Long Island. You will be motivated to examine work and life in a whole new way.
As part of the Work/Life Conference the NAMC is proud to be serving as the host organization for the Long Island region’s participation in the Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Excellence in Business Effectiveness and Flexibility. As host, the NAMC has committed to spreading the word about the award, encouraging Long Island employers to apply and consulting with a broad range of business and community leaders to help promote this award for the benefit of the Long Island business community and this region.
The Alfred P. Sloan Awards for Excellence in Business Effectiveness and Flexibility are part of When Work Works, a national project on workplace effectiveness and workplace flexibility from Families and Work Institute.
