Leadership Retreat
What if you were given a few days to remember and validate the importance of your role as a mother?
That's exactly what happens at an NAMC Leadership Retreat. Leaders from across the country – from Georgia, Colorado, Ohio, Kentucky, New York, Michigan and New Jersey – come to share, learn and connect with other Mothers' Center members and NAMC staff and board members.
Who can attend the Leadership Retreat and what do they learn?
The Leadership Retreat is a yearly event where all our Mothers' Center programs are invited to send two representatives. Topics covered include:
- Skills of leadership – what is effective leadership- how do we nurture leaders and build successive generations of leadership;
- What engages/what hinders people from getting involved;
- Developing the skills needed for creating a safe, nurturing environment at a Mothers' Center program.
- What makes a Mothers' Center discussion a unique experience.
