Motherhood. It can be exhilarating, frightening, joyful and confusing. It can be the most rewarding--and undervalued--job in the world. The National Association of Mothers’ Centers appreciates the hard work of parenting and care-giving. As the collective voice of mothers in the United States, we work at both the grassroots and national level to:

  • Support more than 30 Mothers' Centers around the United States
  • Organize high-impact conferences and events about parenting, maternal health, child development and work-life balance
  • Bring issues related to motherhood and care-giving to the center of public policy discussions through

We recognize your challenges and realities, and we’re here to help. Through these and many other programs, we offer advice, support, community and advocacy to make the job of parenting easier - for mothers, fathers and families, alike.

October 10th (10-10-10) was established as the International Mothers Center Day on the 10th anniversary of the mine network (Mothers Center International Network for Empowerment) in 2010. This year, on 10-10-11, the focus is Meet The World in Mothers Centers and highlights the country of Bulgaria and its Mothers' Centers. They're sharing aspects of their unique culture including mothers' stories of challenges and triumphs, children's songs and Bulgarian recipes.
