National Committee of Grandparents for Children's Rights: A coalition of concerned grandparents, citizens and agencies united to create one powerful voice to advocate and lobby for legislative changes that protect the rights of grandparents to secure their grandchildren's health, happiness and well-being.

Family Place Libraries™: A network of children's librarians nationwide who believe that literacy begins at birth, and that libraries can help build healthy communities by nourishing healthy families.  The NAMC has partnered with Family Place Libraries to create Mothers’ Center programs in local libraries.

Assistance and Support Services

LotsaHelpingHands: Helps you or someone you love to easily organize family members, friends, and others during times of medical crisis, family caregiver exhaustion, when caring for an aging loved one, or just coordinating a group of volunteers.  Whether coordinating volunteers for meals, rides, or visits, or just sharing photos, medical status updates, well wishes, or vital medical, legal, or financial information with select members of the community, a Lotsa Helping Hands private web community can help.

Help for Aging Parents

Alzheimer's Association:  Their mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

Caring Road Support Network, Online Community of Family Caregivers: Helps caregivers prepare for what lies ahead, recognizing their options in a timely way so they can find support, locate needed services and make informed decisions about the care of their loved ones.

Military Families

The Soldiers Project: Volunteer licensed psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, mental health nurses, and marriage and family therapists providing FREE confidential counseling to military personnel who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan and their loved ones. It operates on a private practice model, with free counseling sessions offered in private offices, with no red tape, a flexible schedule, and no limit to the number of sessions.
