Since 1975, Mothers’ Center programs around the country have offered mothers, fathers and other caregivers a sense of camaraderie, peer support, empathy, information, and valuable resources. Mothers' Centers give families back that critical support system that has all but vanished completely. Mothers as well as some fathers find that they are accepted, heard, validated and empowered to make the best choices for themselves and their families.
Through our Mothers Ought To Have Equal Rights (MOTHERS) public policy initiative, we have raised our voices at a national level to advocate for the economic support of caregiving. Members stay informed with the latest news and updates on public policy discussions and how you can make your voice heard through the DC Dispatch and Your (Wo)man in Washington blog.
If you have an interest in maternal health and well-being, child health and development, parenting, elder care, or work/life integration, you can join and support us in numerous ways:
- Become an individual member of the NAMC
- Volunteer for MOTHERS
- Donate time, money or resources to a local center, to MOTHERS or to the NAMC
We look forward to working with you! Thank you in advance for your support.
